A frequent problem that most of users
encounter is the notification about the windows not being genuine...now
here is a quick fix to the probelm...
Step1:-Open the command prompt as Administrator
Step2:-Type in the command slmgr -rearm. (Leave a space between the r and the -, but no space between the - and r of rearm).
Step3:-Close command prompt and reboot the system
is a video tutorial for the same by me

Should I remove/delete the said files after clicking slmgr -rearm?

ReplyDeleteAttention just type what is within the cotetion marks "slmgr -rearm"
ReplyDeleteI did typed "slmgr -rearm." and it did not work because I had the dot at the end.
Also when you run cmd right click on it and go to run as administrator. Make sure is saying system32 and not your username. If is the user name I don't know if it will work, but as administrator it worked for me.
I checked my user account and it says I am the administrator. But still I keep getting "Access Denied. You need elevated privileges for this command"

- Remove update KB971033, reboot
- Disable Windows Update, reboot
- Use Windows Loader v2.2.1, reboot
- Apply your patch, reboot
- done.
Works atm, let's see for the future :)
